Pierced in battle with a glowing shard of an Over, Lydarc, the warrior shaman, suffers constant pain, berserker rages, and terrifying visions of a future soaked in blood.

When her tribe is murdered and exiled to the underlands, Lydarc must drown herself in a spectral lake to save them. With her on this perilous journey are the spirit animal of her disabled but headstrong young apprentice and the ex-lover who broke her heart, yet begs her to rescue his daughter from hell.

But among the damned, she discovers darker truths than she ever imagined. One of her allies is lying. The Overs are not what they seem. And her long-buried shamanic power threatens to explode, shattering the fragile veil between realms.
